Jam First Theatre is finally coming to Prim-Raf!
They are a Cornish theatre company founded by two furloughed West End / Broadway actors- Laurence Pears and Darren Seed, whose individual credits include Poldark (BBC) His Dark Materials(BBC) The Lost Honour (ITV). They have also appeared in The Play That Goes Wrong, and Magic Goes Wrong, amongst others in the West End.
Their play is a two man show called 'Hellish' and is described as 'a rip-roaring, irreverent and wickedly funny show that takes you from Heaven to Hell and back!'
Synopsis:- Jago Clemo is out of luck.....and the Devil knows it! Down at his local pub, furloughed and frustrated, Jago will bet on any game going....unfortunately...so will the Devil!
Hellish has been really well received at all the Cornish venues so far, with excellent reviews!
It will be taking place at our theatre on Saturday 7th November, with 2 performances- 3pm and 6.30pm. It will be one hour long with no interval. Tickets are £13 each and can be purchased online from Yapsody.com. Details of how to book are on the poster above. Due to seating restrictions it will be a first come first served basis. They have our seating plan and will use this when allocating seats. Covid guidelines will be adhered to and masks must be worn in the theatre.
Please note- we have been informed that this is not really suitable for young children.
Seating will be with social distancing in mind. Families will be able to sit together.
McQueen's Youth Theatre
Prim-Raf Theatre is partnering with McQueen's Dance & Theatre CIC to deliver a program of youth theatre sessions at our theatre on Saturday mornings.
The program is designed to teach children and young people all aspects of theatrical production, ranging from stage work (dance, chorus work and acting) through to directing, backstage and technical, with productions produced and performed.
Each session lasts for one hour and are for all children and young people between the ages of 6 and 16. The cost is £18 for a 4 week term, working out at £4.50 a session.
If you're interested, you're welcome to attend on a Saturday at 10:00 am to see what's going on. The first session is free.
(Please note, that during the holiday periods, there may be times where no session occurs.)
