We saw lots of new faces for this panto as well as new helpers.

Pantomimes are great fun as well as a lot of hard work, but are a hit with our regular followers.

We have an extensive wardrobe and all of our costumes are available for hire from Prim-Raf.

A few of the pieces are shown here in the slide show, to give you an idea of what is available for hire, this includes, hats, accesories, novelty and dress costumes.

A Life Sentence

CALLINGTON DRAMA GROUP TAKES TOP SPOT

From all quarters of the County, drama groups met on Saturday 11th April 2015 at St Austell, to take part in the annual ‘Cornwall One Act Play Festival’. There were as usual some very high quality entries and this year a clear winner emerged from South East Cornwall.

Callington Amateur Drama Society (CADS) who hadn’t entered for a number of years had four nominations including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Play and Best Director and the overall winner with their production of ‘A Life Sentence’ a play written locally by the director Mark Seaman.

Prim-Raf Celebrations

From time to time Prim-Raf have special dates and events to celebrate so here are a few photos to share with you.

We have been fortunate to have been nominated and won many prizes at the CDA Awards Ceremonies over the years.

Callington Carnival 2015

Carnival 2015 and we again used a pantomime theme with costumes and set from our production of Babes in the Wood.

We won Best Adult Float for the second year in a row! We'd only returned the shield to the organisers in the morning. Will we make it three for three in 2016?

Rumplestiltzkin! Panto 2016

2016 Pantomime was Rumplestiltzkin.

Photos supplied by cast members.

Funny Money 2016

2016 Autumn Production is Funny Money.

A farce written by Ray Cooney.

Henry Perkins and his wife Jean are expecting friends Vic and Betty for dinner to celebrate Henry's birthday.  Henry when leaving the train after travelling home from work accidentally picked up another briefcase identical to his not realising his mistake.  Then looking inside he found it full of ill gotten money.

I will not spoil the plot by telling you more.  Just come along and watch...

Murder Mystery - Mystic Meg 2017

Alice in Wonderland 2017

The Pantomime for Feb 2017 was Alice in Wonderland, directed by Charlie McCaroll.

A great time was had by all who was in the Panto and lots of hard work by those behind the scenes.

Laying the Ghost 2017

Our 2017 Autumn Production is Laying the Ghost, a comedy play written by Simon Williams.

Margot Buchanan is a witty ex-actress in a retirement home.  She is visited by a young actress who is having an affair with Leo, Margot's ex-husband - and by Leo's current wife Judy.  Leo arrives but suffers a fatal heart attack.  Thus the scene is set for chaotic hilarity as Leo's ghost appears, anxious to sort out matters between his three women, and visible only to Margot's psychic friend Freda!

Callington Carnival 2019

Callington Carnival 2019 - saw Prim-Raf entering with our 'Pirates of the Caribbean' boat.  Some of our members were walking as under the sea creatures and the pirates were on the float.

Our float was designed by our Secretary, Becky Treeby who roped in her family to help build and decorate our boat.  We had a good many hiccoughs on the day with tractor drivers pulling out due to work loads and our last tractor having a fault at the last minute.  Once again Beckys family stood up to the mark and towed our float around the town for us.

Prim-Raf were thrilled to bits to win 2 shields this year.  Best Adult Float and Best entry.

Are You Being Served 2019

David McCarroll is our Director for our Autumn production, "Are You Being Served", a comedy which has lots of our British humour and many innuendos.

The Grace Brothers are seen in the first act on the shop floor and preparing for their summer holiday to Spain, where they will be staying in a 'one-star' hotel.

This has been a difficult play for us to put on our small stage but we haven't let that stop us.
